The UT Connewitz is an over 100-year-old cinema from the silent film era and the main venue of the festival. A non-profit association of the same name is committed to preserving the site. Hidden in a backyard, the impressive auditorium opens up: a classic theater building with a surrounding balcony and an arched ceiling. After its rediscovery in 2001, it was deliberately renovated with restraint in order to preserve the original aura of the place.
