The Conne Island is a self-managed youth cultural center in Leipzig-Connewitz, a renowned venue for concerts of various genres, but also a political center where the possibilities of political culture are discussed. The history of the location goes back a long way. As early as 1885, there was a popular restaurant on the site, the so-called Eiskeller. Today, the Conne Island has a DJ rehearsal room, an info store and a large outdoor area including a skate park.
