This years festival edition will be the last for the foreseeable future: TransCentury Update is going on a hiatus after 2024.
We feel so lucky about everything that we have achieved together with our team and our supporters and we would like to thank you all for believing in us and trusting us. We would not have made it that far without you. We would like to assure you that the decision to go on a hiatus was not taken lightly, we always wanted to create something that is easy and fun for everyone but after some reflection we realized that this is not the case anymore.
One more Line-Up change that you should be aware of: Unfortunately Snitsh Pitsh are unable to play at his years festival due to family reasons, Zoomies are going to play instead, same place, same time, free-entry.

Update 4#: TransCentury Update Mixtape No.2
The TransCentury Update Mixtape #2 is ready and can now be heard here and on our website. The Mixtape features all the bands and artists, that are confirmed for this years festival.
A few days ago we announced the final line-up. If you haven't seen the announcement yet, you can check back here to see who's playing this year.
Unfortunately we have to inform you that the Schnellbuffet Süd is no longer used as festival-venue. There are problems with the neighbours, we don't want to burden the Schnelli unnecessarily in this situation and are therefore moving to Tschoch with the Snitsh Pitsh matinee-show.

Update 3#: King Hannah, Ryley Walker and Military Genius are joining the line-up.
We are very excited to announce that King Hannah, Ryley Walker and Military Genius are joining this years TransCentury Update Line-Up. Unfortunately METZ and Cola have decided to cancel their shows at the festival, we have not received a statement from the artists that we could share with you. If you are not satisfied with the replacements and already bought a day-ticket for Friday the 15th of November then you can contact us here and request a refund. Please keep in mind that it might take us 1-2 days to get back to you.

Update #1: First Mixtape now online.
The TransCentury Update Mixtape #1 is ready and can now be heard here and on our website.
On 25.09.2024 we will announce the remaining program and the day-splits and stage-times via our newsletter and our website. On this day, the day tickets will also go on sale. For all those interested in attending the entire festival, there are still festival tickets available. Just follow this link here.
What else is new?
The Canadian noise-rock band Metz has released a great KEXP live session. Experimental pop project Discovery Zone is currently touring the US with Crumb and L'Rain and recorded an Audiotree live session during their recent Chicago stop. AFAR have uploaded a live recording of their 2024 Fusion Festival performance. Mabe Fratti has released a new album “Sentir que no sabes”. The album's opener has also made it onto our mixtape. The post-punk trio Cola have also recorded a new album: “The Gloss” and it was released a few weeks ago on Fire Talk. In June, Wand released a music video animated by Veron Chatman and Adult Swims lilfuchs for their song “JJ”. Bacao Rhythm and Steel Band have released their new album “BRSB” on the New York label Big Crown Records. If you haven't heard this Bacao Rhythm and Steel Band version of the 50 Cent song “Pimp” yet, please do so. Bex Burch was playing at Berlin XJazz Festival in May 2024, and a live session of her performance at Sonnenraum was released a few days ago. International Music have released the third single “Im Sommer bin ich dein König” from their new album “Endless Rüttenscheid”. El Khat were also guests at KEXP and released the song “Tislami Tislami” on Glitterbeat a few weeks ago.
Don't forget: On 01.09.2024 there will be state elections in Saxony and Thuringia and on 22.09.2024 in Brandenburg: Go vote.

TransCentury Update 2024
From 14.11.2024 - 17.11.2024 TransCentury Update will once again give the unknown a chance and try to overcome genre boundaries together with its visitors in order to explore new musical spheres.
Room for the new and unfamiliar: the first artists and bands confirmed for this years festival include the Hamburg funk collective Bacao Rhythm & Steel Band, the dystopian and dark-sounding electro duo AFAR, the experimental pop artist Discovery Zone and the percussionist, producer and instrument maker Bex Burch.
The familiar will be rethought: Metz will disrupt with energetic rock music, Wand will play their own interpretation of West Coast garage rock and Cola will rethink a popular genre with elegant guitar grooves and gnarly rhythms.
The first confirmations for 2024 are also reminiscent of past editions: International Music, who already played in 2019, will present their new album "Endless Rüttenscheid" in their usual timeless Dada beat and Krautrock style. Cellist Mabe Fratti from Guatemala is presenting her new album "Sentier tue no sabes" this year with a full band and new groovy, experimental beats.
